This policy explains what happens to your data when you use Nowcoin Omega, the self-custody crypto-asset wallet that Nowcoin Digital LLC ("nowcoin", "we", "us") publishes as an Android app and a Chrome browser extension ("Omega"). The short version: nowcoin collects nothing from Omega. There is no account, no server of ours that Omega talks to, and no analytics. Omega calls public blockchain services directly from your device, and those services are run by other organisations.
This policy is separate from the Privacy Policy of Nowcoin Lead Wallet, our custodial service, which covers the personal data of a nowcoin account. Nothing in that policy applies to Omega, unless you also use Nowcoin Lead Wallet or visit our website.
1. What we collect
Nothing, through Omega.
- There is no account. You give us no email address, name, phone number or password, and we hold no profile of you.
- Omega sends no analytics, advertising or tracking data, no crash reports and no usage figures to us or to anyone.
- Omega never contacts a nowcoin server. We cannot see that you use it, which addresses you have, what you hold, or what you send.
- Your keys and your recovery phrase never leave your device, and we cannot see, recover or reset them.
Downloading Omega from nowcoin.xyz, or reading these pages, is a visit to our website: our web server records it as the Privacy Policy of Nowcoin Lead Wallet describes (section 1, security and technical data). That is the website, not Omega.
2. What stays on your device
Omega keeps on your device, and only there:
- your keys, and your recovery phrase, encrypted with the password you choose;
- on Android, if you turn on fingerprint or face unlock, the key that unlocks your wallet, kept under a key in the Android Keystore that the phone uses only after your fingerprint or face is accepted;
- your wallet's addresses, and the balances, prices and transaction history it has read, so that it can show them quickly; and
- your settings.
Deleting Omega deletes them from the device. The recovery phrase can restore your keys on another device; the balances and history are read from the networks again.
3. What Omega sends, and to whom
To show your balances, the network fees, prices and history, and to send the transactions you sign, Omega calls public blockchain services directly from your device. None of them is a nowcoin service, none needs an account or a key, and nothing passes through us.
A service that Omega calls sees the request: the address or transaction it is asked about, the transaction you send, the time, your device's IP address and technical details such as the app's identity as a browser or HTTP client. It may keep that in its logs, under its own policy, which we do not control. Prices are read from on-chain price feeds through these same services; no separate price service is called.
At the date of this policy, Omega can call these, by network (the Android app and the Chrome extension use the same list, except where noted):
| Network | Services (hosts) |
|---|---|
| Bitcoin | mempool.space (mempool.space); Blockstream (blockstream.info) |
| Ethereum | PublicNode (ethereum-rpc.publicnode.com, ethereum.publicnode.com); dRPC (eth.drpc.org); MEOW RPC (eth.meowrpc.com); Tenderly (gateway.tenderly.co); MEV Blocker (rpc.mevblocker.io) |
| BNB Smart Chain | PublicNode (bsc-rpc.publicnode.com); BlockRazor (bsc.blockrazor.xyz); BNB Chain's public nodes (bsc-dataseed.bnbchain.org, bsc-dataseed1.defibit.io, bsc-dataseed1.ninicoin.io); 48 Club (rpc-bsc.48.club); bloXroute (bsc.rpc.blxrbdn.com) |
| Polygon | PublicNode (polygon-bor-rpc.publicnode.com); dRPC (polygon.drpc.org); Tenderly (polygon.gateway.tenderly.co) |
| Base | PublicNode (base-rpc.publicnode.com); Coinbase (mainnet.base.org); dRPC (base.drpc.org); MEOW RPC (base.meowrpc.com); Tenderly (base.gateway.tenderly.co) |
| TRON | PublicNode (tron-rpc.publicnode.com); TronGrid (api.trongrid.io); Pocket Network (tron.api.pocket.network) |
| Solana | PublicNode (solana-rpc.publicnode.com); Pocket Network (solana.api.pocket.network); the Solana Foundation (api.mainnet-beta.solana.com; the Android app only) |
| Stellar | Stellar Development Foundation (horizon.stellar.org); LOBSTR (horizon.stellar.lobstr.co); Ankr (rpc.ankr.com) |
| Bittensor | Opentensor Foundation (entrypoint-finney.opentensor.ai, lite.chain.opentensor.ai, archive.chain.opentensor.ai); OnFinality (bittensor-finney.api.onfinality.io) |
Omega chooses among them, and may ask more than one for a figure that moves money, so that no single one is trusted alone. An update of Omega can change this list; when it does, this policy is updated with it. The Chrome extension asks permission to reach these addresses and no others.
Decentralised applications. Where Omega offers it, you can connect it to a decentralised application ("dApp"). On Android, the connection goes through WalletConnect's relay, which is operated by Reown. The messages between the app and the dApp are encrypted, but the relay still sees technical information, such as your device's IP address, and may keep it under Reown's own policy. In Chrome, the extension adds a wallet provider to the web pages you open over https, so that any such page can ask to connect; a website you connect to talks to the extension directly in your browser, with no relay. Either way, a dApp you connect sees your public address and whatever you approve for it, and handles that under its own policy.
Buy and Exchange. "Buy on Nowcoin Lead" and "Exchange on Nowcoin Lead" are plain links to our custodial service. Omega sends nothing when you tap one: your browser simply opens nowcoin.xyz. From then on you are on our website, and if you open a nowcoin account there, that service has its own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
4. Public blockchains
Blockchains are public. Every transaction to or from your addresses, and the balance of each address, can be seen by anyone, forever, and cannot be deleted by us or by anyone else. An address does not carry your name, but anyone who learns that it is yours can see everything it has done.
5. Who we share it with
Nobody, because we have nothing from Omega to share. If we are asked for data about Omega's users by an authority, we have none to give.
6. How long we keep it
We keep nothing from Omega, so there is nothing for us to keep or delete. What is on your device is yours to keep or delete. What the services in section 3 keep is governed by their own policies.
7. How we protect it
Omega is built so that nowcoin holds nothing worth stealing: your keys are made on your device and never leave it, and are stored encrypted with your password. That also means we cannot help you if you lose your recovery phrase or password. Keep your recovery phrase offline, keep your device up to date, and never give your recovery phrase or password to anyone: we will never ask for them. No system is perfectly secure.
8. Your rights
Because we hold no personal data from Omega, there is nothing for us to give you a copy of, correct, erase or restrict. For the data of our website and of a nowcoin account, see the Privacy Policy of Nowcoin Lead Wallet. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, in particular in the country where you live or work. To ask us anything about this policy, contact us through the contact form on our website (section 11).
9. Children
Omega is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect anyone's personal data through it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Omega has no account, so we cannot write to you: we publish the new version at this address, with its date, and where we can, we say so in the app. The version in force is shown at the top of this page.
